Habitation Safety Check Made Easy With Mr Campervan Just £95!
The most important thing for your own safety is ensuring that your motorhome/campervans habitation area is “safe”
You can spend a fortune on a full habitation check but do you really need to be told that a cupboard door is loose or your mattress is getting a bit long in the tooth? Your vehicle will already undergo a yearly MOT check so again, paying someone to tell you about some of these areas on a full habitation check may not be the best use of your money!
At Mr Campervan, we build campervans from scratch so know where to focus our attention when it comes to safety. We have developed a habitation safety check which looks at the things that really matter to keep you and your pride and joy safe: Gas, electric, water and damp!!
How Do I Book?
It’s hassle free and just like and MOT you simply book an appointment, take a seat in our reception. A little over 30 minutes our technicians will inspect the safety of your Campervan/Motorhomes habitation area and issue you with a certificate.
There is no pass or fail we will simply tell you what, if anything, you need to attend to to keep you safe. If anything does need doing, you can then book an appointment with us to put this right or go to your chosen campervan/motorhome service centre.

What’s Involved?
Damp*
We use specialist equipment to check for damp ingress and identify any issues. *applies to coach built motorhomes.
Electrics
We check all electrical systems for issues, including charging circuit operation, battery condition, lighting and sockets, fuses/circuit breakers and RCDs. We will also check the condition and security of your solar panels (if fitted) and whilst we’re up there we’ll give your panels a clean to ensure that they’re ready if the sun ever decides to show its face!
Gas
LPG can potentially be lethal. So we’ll check your gas system, ensure that your vehicles LPG is fitted to meet the latest BS regulations.
Water
Although a water leak may not be life threatening. If you’ve a joint or hose that’s not secure, you could easily end up in a situation whereby water meets your van electrics. This as I’m sure you’ll appreciate can cause you real issues. We’ll inspect all visible water pipes and joins to ensure you limit your chances of springing a leak.
Fire
We will carry out a full test of all fire/safety measures. This includes smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers and fire blankets.
