About Us

We are Mr Campervan! Based in Rochester, Kent. Converting dream Campervans for our customers from Lands’ End to John O’ Groats! Our love for all things camper goes way back but as a fully-fledged business we began in 2014.

We started in and around old VW campers and spent many years in the hire game. We found that more of our time was taken up working on other people’s vans and made the decision to leave the hiring to other people and throw all of our energy into building campers.

Meet The Team

JOHN

John – Company Director  – Likes to think he’s the brains of the operation, the founding father and obsessed with camper vans. Will see a conversion in anything, super creative and a nice bloke, loves painting!  He’s a wanna be George Clarke but thinks he’s better. (I think he is too)

LEIGH

Leigh – Company Director – Leigh does many of the things often unseen but integral to enjoying the whole camper experience! He’s often on his back under a van fitting the underslung water tanks. He’s also the main man installing all the gas works as well as cutting windows in. If we can’t find him he’s more likely to be seen on a van roof with his nibbler out (Oooh Matron) cutting holes and fitting skylights. If John ever moves from the office hes’ also a dab hand with customer consultations.  Lovely fella, awful coffee!

MYA

Mya – The youngest member of the team. Has spent her entire life around campers. Is brilliant with customers and sometimes out thinks us all. Keeps the office and workshop super tidy and makes a cracking cup of coffee.

AMY

Amy – 40+ years working with wood, with her chiseled profile; shes always looking good (see what I did there with chiseled! Dad joke!). Time served joiner, knows her onions and will make the woodwork in your camper look stunning. Super creative and a huge asset to our team.

NICK

Nick – He is Welsh but don’t let that stand in your way, he’s a cracking fella! Fully Qualified Electrician but turns his hand to anything. When you look at the quality of finish on your conversion, That was Nick! Never happier than working in confined spaces ey Nick? The only time he moans is when working in confined spaces! He’s a lovely family man and his hobbies include Camping, Rugby and Wallpapering! A valued member of our team.

SEAN

Sean – Our newest team member, goes by the name ‘Justin Beaver’ as he’s always singing and loves a bit of wood. He is loving the camper conversion world as every day he is learning new skills, seems at his happiest covered in spray glue and sheep wool insulation! Takes boxes of wood off cuts home most days, he says it’s for kindling, but we think he gnaws it of an evening.

SIMA

Sima – Office Manager – Does all the really boooooooring stuff; Vat returns, Accounts, Paperwork, H&S, HR, Recruitment, Website maintenance. She’s always telling us off but keeps us in check. Only joking Sima you’re the best.
